Requirements, Rules, and Terms & Conditions
Eligible entries must have all fields completed. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m., Central Time on August 7, 2017.
Official Rules — Effective July 27, 2017
Please read these rules before entering the Distance Teaching & Learning Conference survey drawing. By registering for the drawing, you agree to be bound by these rules and that you satisfy all eligibility and entry requirements.
You must be 18 years or older to enter. Entries are limited to one per person. The program is void where prohibited.
How to Enter
To enter the Drawing, you must submit your name and email address in the designated spot at the end of the Distance Teaching & Learning Conference survey. Entries must be received by August 7, 2017 by 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Entries are limited to one per person.
By registering for the Drawing, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies Rules and Terms & Conditions. University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entry for any reason, including for any violation of these Official Rules.
2 winners will be selected randomly from all entries. The Winners will be notified by September 6, 2017.
If you are selected as a winner, you will receive:
• One (1) certificate for one individual registration to the 2018 UW-Madison Distance Teaching & Learning Conference that takes place August 7-9, 2018. The certificate does not include additional workshop fees or other add-on items.
• The certificate has no cash value. It may be applied to the 2018 UW-Madison Distance Teaching & Learning Conference, but the enrolled participant is responsible for the balance of the costs.
• The certificate expires August 7, 2018.
Limitations of Liability
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies and its affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees are not responsible or liable for any Entry or other communication which is lost, late, damaged, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, or any entry or other communication submitted which is not received due to any computer, online, technical malfunction, delays or human errors that occur in the processing, transmitting, or receiving of entries. If, for any reason, the program cannot be conducted as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies, University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Drawing.
By entering the Drawing, you release University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies, its affiliates, officers, directors, agents, and employees, and their successors and assigns (collectively the Released Parties), from any and all actions, obligations, costs, damages, losses, claims, liabilities and demands of whatever kind or nature now or hereafter against any one or more of the Released Parties, arising from, related to or in any way connected with participation in this program and receipt of any award from University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies.
By entering the Drawing, you consent to the use of your name, likeness and image, address and/or prize information and/or Entry for promotional and other purposes without further payment.
Choice of Law and Venue
By entering the Drawing, you agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies in connection with the program, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of State of Wisconsin. By entering the program, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state and local courts located in Madison, Wisconsin.
